"Whoopi"

Our first home bred Champion was Whoopi, born on 7 May, 1990. This is the same date as her mother's birthday, Danesden Petronel, and our son Kelly's birthday, hence her kennel name. Whoopi soon became the premier show bitch in our home. From the beginning of her show career she was exclusively handled by Kelly and their futures became intricately entwined. Whoopi was a regular Puppy in Show winner, winner of 15 Australian and 3 New Zealand C.C.'s and, not least, winner of Best of Breed at the Adelaide Royal in 1992 and 1993. At that time she was the only Dane to have won consecutive Adelaide Royal Best of Breeds. Whoopi died on 26th April, 2001 just short of her 11th birthday.
